Scientists from the University of Pisa in Italy and the University of Strathclyde in Scotland have announced groundbreaking news: they claim to have discovered a large city beneath the world-famous Pyramids of Giza.

The scientists used a synthetic aperture radar to reveal a large underground network beneath the pyramids. You can compare it to sonar radar used for underwater navigation or object detection. With these radar pulses, they concluded that there is a large city hidden beneath the pyramids in Egypt. They discovered tremors based on scans made in 2022. The scans show eight vertical cylindrical structures extending more than 640 deeper beneath the pyramid. According to the scientists, this is enough evidence for the discovery of a 'large city' under the Pyramids of Giza.

“An enormous underground city has been discovered beneath the pyramids. The groundbreaking study has redefined the boundaries of satellite data analysis and archaeological research”, said the spokesperson for the Khafre Project, the name of the study that refers to the second largest pyramid in Giza.

Further research and targeted excavations will be needed to confirm the claims.
