A Russian oil depot has been targeted for the third time, further complicating efforts to contain the fire that has been raging at the site.
Russian officials reported that debris from Ukrainian drones caused a fire at the Kavkazskaya site in the Krasnodar region last week, which firefighters have yet to extinguish.
A few days earlier, additional drones struck a refinery in the same area, as Kyiv continues its strategy of disrupting Russia’s energy production to weaken its ability to sustain the war.
Despite the attacks, Russia and Ukraine had agreed to a 30-day ceasefire on energy infrastructure as part of ongoing peace talks set to resume this week.
However, Moscow has accused Kyiv of deliberately targeting energy facilities in Krasnodar in violation of the agreement.
