The billionaire was hired for a 130-day mission at the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). By the end of May, Musk is expected to return to the private sector.

According to several American media sources, Donald Trump is said to have informed those around him that the head of the DOGE might soon be leaving his role at the White House. As of today, no official confirmation has been issued regarding the exact date of his departure... Possibly in May, according to the schedule.

Musk, a true friend

But even after his departure, it is said that the head of Tesla will continue to hold a special place with the American president and his vice-president, JD Vance. The latter has also stated that "the DOGE has a lot of work to do, and yes, this work will continue after Elon's departure. But fundamentally, Elon will remain a friend and advisor to the president and myself".

A mission crowned with success

Furthermore, the President of the United States continues to support his (unofficial) right-hand man, considering his work "fantastic". He also stated that Elon Musk could stay as long as he wishes at the White House, before focusing on his businesses once again.
