Ukraine and the United States of America have made significant progress in drafting an economic partnership agreement and creating an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
According to a message posted on Facebook by Yulia Svyrydenk, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, the two countries will sign the memorandum in the near future.
“Our two technical teams have worked together very meticulously on the agreement - there is significant progress, lawyers have set the right tone in drafting the agreement, I thank the negotiators of both teams,” said Ms. Svyrydenko.
According to her, after the signing of the declaration of intent, the parties will continue to work on the different points of the document, although most of the provisions have already been developed. The level of the agreement is expected to be "quite high".
The document aims to create favourable conditions to attract investments and development in Ukraine and is expected to ensure economic growth in both countries.
“The agreement will offer an opportunity for investment and development in Ukraine, and will create the conditions for significant economic growth for both Ukraine and the United States,” she emphasised.
