The American think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) reports, based on new research, that around 1.4 million soldiers have been wounded or killed so far due to the war in Ukraine. Most of them are Russians.

According to CSIS, 950,000 Russians have already been wounded or killed, and it expects that the one million mark will be surpassed this summer. CSIS estimates that between 200,000 and 250,000 Russians have died in Ukraine. According to the statistics, the number of dead and wounded is also rising ever more rapidly. CSIS estimates the Ukrainian death toll at between 60,000 and 100,000. The total number of war casualties is put at 400,000.
