Police and volunteers in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia have been searching since Friday morning for two children who may have wandered from their home into the woods and disappeared without a trace while their parents were still asleep.

Lily (6) and Jack (4) were last seen Friday morning in their home in Pictou County. The parents took a nap together with their sixteen-month-old baby, while their other two children were playing in the house. However, when the parents woke up, Lily and Jack were gone.

Almost 150 rescuers have been searching for the past four days for the two missing children in the region, which consists of heavily forested area that complicates the search. Dogs and thermal imaging cameras mounted on drones are also being used.

"People in Pictou County and throughout Nova Scotia are praying for a positive outcome for the two missing children," said Tim Houston, Premier of Nova Scotia, in a statement. "Know that our first responders and volunteers are working tirelessly during this 24/7 operation."
