Can you run one kilometre in 2 minutes and 51 seconds?
Canadian Brendan Neely achieved a remarkable sporting feat on 1 May. The young father from Toronto, who is also an experienced trail runner, smashed the world record for the one-kilometre run while pushing a buggy containing his 17-month-old son. His lightning-fast time of 2 minutes and 51 seconds was nearly 30 seconds faster than the old record. He trained specifically for this remarkable challenge for six months, and his son seemed to enjoy the speed! The Guinness Book of Records certified the world record. The world record attempt took place on an athletics track at the Hangar Sports Complex in North York, Ontario, with a Guinness judge on site to validate the performance.
A special father-son moment!
