Chubby black panther causes astonishment

A very overweight black panther is attracting the attention of visitors to the zoo in the Sichuan province of China.

A video of the fat black panther has surfaced on social media. It immediately sparked outraged reactions and accusations of animal neglect. The Chengdu Zoo has responded, stating that they are doing everything possible to bring the animals to a healthy weight.

The video shows the fat cat cautiously waddling around its enclosure... each step seems a difficult task to prevent its belly from touching the ground.

Some visitors claim that the animal almost looks more like a hippopotamus than its fellow species. Others have quickly given it the nickname 'Garfield'.
