You've sorted out your wardrobe, listed half of it on Vinted 9online selling platform), you've organised your kitchen from top to bottom (even your pans are organised), but have you thought about... your apps? Yes, that little screen that constantly vibrates! It's become the new battleground in decluttering.
The principle of a 'digital clutter detox' is simple: just as you've sorted your clothes, now tidy up your apps, notifications, subscriptions... Everything that takes up your mental... and digital bandwidth!
Start with your home screen, a bit like organising your entrance hall – it's important, it's the first thing you see when you come home. What apps do you really use? That meditation app you downloaded during the pandemic, has it really been useful since then? And that recipe app you’ve never tried anything from? Don't hesitate, delete, tidy, set aside.
A little tip: create folders! A work folder with your emails, etc. A folder for social media networks, one for leisure apps, etc. Fewer visible apps = fewer temptations = more focus! You'll find it quite liberating.
Don't hesitate to reduce your notifications to the bare minimum too, otherwise it's a bit like someone ringing your doorbell every five minutes.
If you can't brighten up your days, start by decluttering your screens, it's a good start.
