Did the United States try to assassinate Putin?

Tucker Carlson claimed that the Biden administration tried to kill Putin. The conservative commentator provided no evidence to support his incendiary claim.

"The Biden administration tried to kill Putin," said the former Fox News presenter in an episode of his podcast "The Tucker Carlson Show".

"Which is insane," added Mr. Carlson. "It’s madness to even think of something like that. So why did they do it, what would have happened, if this assassination operation was successful, to the nuclear stockpiles of such a complex country?"
Mr. Carlson provided no evidence to substantiate his extraordinary claim regarding the Biden administration, which led the United States from 2021 to 2025, as the Kremlin's war against Ukraine intensified.

It's reminded that the controversial Tucker Carlson visited Moscow last February for a sit-down interview with Mr. Putin and returned to Russia in December to interview the foreign minister, Mr. Sergey Lavrov.
