After the astonishing altercation between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky on February 28th in the Oval Office, it's clear that the American president doesn't hold his Ukrainian counterpart in high regard.

Last week, the White House resident repeated it in the same place, alongside Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni: he's not exactly a “fan” of Volodymyr Zelensky. “I don't hold Zelensky responsible but I'm not really thrilled that this war was started. […]. I'm not blaming him but I think he hasn't done the best job in the world. I'm not a great fan,” declared the president of the United States.

It's not even under discussion!

A week later, Donald Trump goes further and outright criticises his Ukrainian counterpart after the latter reaffirmed that he would “not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea”. “This statement is very detrimental to peace negotiations with Russia, as Crimea was lost years ago and isn't even a point of discussion”, wrote the American president on his network Truth Social.

And added: Zelensky “can have peace or he can fight for another three years before losing the whole country”, while “we're very close to a deal but this man who isn't holding the cards must now conclude”.
