Elon Musk has harshly criticized Donald Trump’s financial advisor after the latter took a swipe at the billionaire’s car company.
The Tesla CEO, who is also involved with the government, slammed Peter Navarro’s remarks on X (formerly Twitter), calling him "dumber than a sack of bricks."
Navarro had earlier claimed that Musk was not a true "car manufacturer," but rather just a "car assembler."
Musk has not hidden his dissatisfaction with Trump’s new tariff policy, which imposes additional duties on a wide range of countries.
While the American president ultimately decided to cap tariffs at 10% for most affected countries for the next 90 days, he escalated tensions with China by imposing a 125% tariff after Beijing responded with its own 84% tariff.
Trump admitted that he lowered tariffs for other countries because they were starting to get scared.
