Elon Musk shifts his focus from the White House to Wall Street, putting the Republican Party on alert. He is stepping back from financing Donald Trump's party.

Musk was an influential figure in the early days of the new Republican administration under Donald Trump, and his withdrawal is generating uncertainty within the party, which is losing one of its main financial backers. Nevertheless, the businessman stated that he doesn't rule out getting involved again should there be a compelling reason, although for now he "sees no reason to continue doing so".

The consequences of his political presence within the Trump administration quickly impacted his businesses. Tesla, one of his most iconic companies, saw a 13% drop in sales in the first quarter of 2025. This decline is attributed to multiple factors: competition in the electricity market, rejection from progressive consumers, and vandalism attacks in certain states.

Musk appears to have chosen to refocus his energy on business. His impact on the public sphere has left marks both on his image and his companies.
