On Saturday, the US president didn't hold back against his former friend, the wealthy businessman Elon Musk.
Only two days after their falling out, Donald Trump stated in an interview with BBC that the Tesla boss should expect “very serious consequences” if he tried to take on Republican lawmakers.

It all started with a disagreement over the budget bill wanted by the White House occupant. Since then, tensions do not seem to have eased and could, on a wider scale, lead to serious economic and political consequences.

Serious consequences

Could the richest man in the world fund Democratic candidates to campaign against Republican lawmakers who support the bill? Donald Trump is very clear on the matter: “if he does, he will have to face the consequences”. He added: “He will face very serious consequences”, without giving further details about the nature of the reprisals, reports 20 Minutes.

As for the future of their relationship? The US president is equally uncompromising, declaring he has “no” desire to make up with Musk and “no intention of speaking to him”. “He is very disrespectful. You cannot disrespect the office of the President,” he said.
