English tourist overpowers man who stabs 5 people in Amsterdam

Anyone who catches a suspect in the act may hold them until the police arrive, and that's exactly what a man from the United Kingdom did when he mustered all his courage and overpowered the perpetrator of a stabbing in Amsterdam on Thursday.

Thanks to his heroic act, the police were able to arrest the man who stabbed five people in the centre of the Dutch capital. The man has been dubbed ‘the hero of Amsterdam’ by thousands on social media. Due to his efficient actions, some suspect that the man has military experience, is active in the police, or works as a security officer.

In the stabbing, five people were injured, two of whom seriously. The suspect himself also sustained injuries. For now, the motive of the perpetrator remains unclear. His identity has also not yet been disclosed.
