Achieve a facelift without surgery? It's rumored that this new skincare routine could tone, reshape, and even lift your face.

But what are we talking about? Face yoga, of course! A non-invasive practice that involves a whole series of self-massages and exercises to be performed at home, without a scalpel, without special equipment... and without breaking your piggy bank. The goal: erase wrinkles, smooth the skin, improve the complexion's radiance, and redefine the contours of the face, in just 5 minutes (or 10, depending on the session). Who can beat that?

While we know that face yoga is a thriving new market, we wonder if it's just a marketing ploy without any real impact. As reported by the Belgian media RTBF, personalized coaching sessions, online videos, and mobile apps with subscriptions are booming. Plump cheeks and lifted eyelids in nearly 30 days? That's the promise of this new skincare routine.

And yet...

The results widely shared on social media don't always reflect reality: because it's impossible to reshape the contours of your face like you can reshape your buttocks. Face yoga can have real effects if, and only if, the correct technique is used and the exercises are repeated regularly.

From 17 euros/month for online sessions or a subscription to a specialized app, to 60 euros for a personalized, individual coaching session: prices vary from one platform to another.

Beware of subscriptions and vague promotions

If you feel like you're not being told everything, or that AI (artificial intelligence) has replaced a real coach, don't consider subscribing and turn to certified professionals instead. Another important point: you can save a lot of money by starting with high-quality, free content, which social media is overflowing with.
