A wave of scandals is currently rocking the Spanish political class, highlighting cases of fabricated diplomas and unfinished university courses fraudulently declared on the CVs of several elected officials, both on the left and the right wings.
Media revelations that forced several politicians to resign after their actual qualifications were called into question, revealing the extent of the phenomenon of falsified CVs in the Spanish political landscape.
Among the practices denounced are the complete fabrication of degrees never obtained or university studies never completed, the overvaluation of certain academic or professional courses, and also the omission of the fact that certain training courses were never completed.
This scandal led to a series of resignations, as political parties were forced to demand greater transparency from their elected representatives. The Spanish political class is now being urged to clarify the veracity of the career paths mentioned on their CVs, under pressure from public opinion and the media.
