Helicopter crash in New York: 6 dead including 5 tourists

A family decimated. Five Spanish tourists, parents and their three children, disappeared with the pilot in the Hudson River after their helicopter crash. The wreckage is expected to help determine the causes of the crash.

Tourists enjoy helicopter rides over New York. However, for one Spanish family, the flight ended tragically. Agustin Escobar, a senior executive at Siemens, his wife, and their three children disappeared with him in the waters of the Hudson River. The pilot didn't survive the dramatic accident either. The precise causes of the technical incident are not yet known. What is certain for now is that a few minutes after its take-off at 2:59pm from the south of Manhattan Island, the helicopter went totally out of control, plummeting upside down like a stone around 3:15pm. The wreckage of the Bell 206 has already been recovered. It will be used in the investigation.
