Not much if reports are to be believed... The Russian armed forces, in three years and one month of combat, have only managed to control "just" 18% of Ukrainian territory.
On 24 February 2022, Moscow began its "special military operation" in Ukraine, deploying troops in the country to "denazify" it. A disguised invasion, according to the media L'Indépendant.
And what was initially supposed to last only a few days ended up dragging on... to this day, where the fighting still rages on. The consequence? Although they managed to control "barely" 18% of Ukrainian territory, the Russian soldiers are exhausted and are struggling to make progress.
According to the count of the Ukrainian command, the Russians have lost 900,800 men, dead, wounded or unfit for combat since 2022.
A figure that once again proves the complexity of the terrain.
