Iran put its military might on display during a parade held this Friday, with President Masoud Pezeshkian declaring that the country’s armed forces represent “peace, stability, and regional cooperation.

The show of force comes just as nuclear negotiations are set to resume this week. Tensions between Iran and the United States have reached new heights in recent weeks, and while the parade underscored Tehran’s readiness for potential conflict, it also signaled a continued willingness to negotiate.

Following the parade, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran now produces the majority of its own military equipment. He added that the country’s military not only plays a role in managing domestic crises but also bolsters Iran’s standing in the region.

Earlier this week, Washington urged Iran to dismantle its nuclear program entirely, taking a significantly harder stance after previously allowing for civilian nuclear use. Trump has threatened to “bomb” if a deal between the two nations cannot be reached.
