Evening to relax? Morning to wake up? It seems there's a concensus when it comes to the right time for taking a shower.

Dermatologists, allergists, and scientists all agree that...

The shower should be preferred in the evening, more precisely, an hour or an hour and a half before going to bed. As a "pre-sleep" moment of relaxation, showers are extremely beneficial for people suffering from insomnia. It indeed has an impact on sleep quality by contributing to the circadian rhythm, the alternation between periods of sleep and wakefulness and our internal clock, to be precise.

Dermatologists agree

In fact, our body temperature varies according to the circadian rhythm; it increases during the waking phase and gradually decreases throughout the day to induce sleep and help us sleep better. Taking a shower in the evening thus accelerates the drop in body temperature, making it easier to fall asleep.

Dermatologists confirm the "rule", and refer to the importance of an evening wash to remove all bacteria that have clogged the skin and altered the balance of the skin microbiota during the day. And since the skin regenerates at night, it's best to get rid of any pollutants before heading to sleep!
