Ukraine is not on the verge of winning the conflict with Russia, said US Vice President JD Vance.

He added that it was naive to expect the collapse of Russia if the fighting continues for several years, during an interview on the Charlie Kirk podcast, and the US Vice President stated:

"I think there's this strange idea among the mainstream media that the Russians will collapse, the Ukrainians will reclaim their territory, and everything will return to how it was before the war. That isn't the reality we're living in."

Regarding negotiations, he says: "Sometimes you're incredibly frustrated with the Ukrainians. Sometimes you're incredibly frustrated with the Russians."

"You could have tens of millions more people killed if this war lasts still for a few more years, and it could risk turning into a nuclear war. This has to stop," he concludes.
