It's well known that Meghan Markle is far from unanimously supported within the royal family—and more broadly, among fans of the Crown.

Accused of breaching certain protocols, notably by closing her own car door, the Duchess of Sussex has made several blunders since marrying Harry.

The couple have repeatedly widened the rift with the royal family, even stepping down from their duties to settle in California. And distance has not improved matters. Recently, with the launch of her new reality show, With Love Meghan, the former actress caught the wrath of the press after appearing as a "tradwife"—a traditional housewife—a role which, for some, seems inconsistent with her feminist views, according to Belgian media outlet RTBF. Over time, her relationship with Harry and their approach to raising their children has also sparked much debate.

Hold your head high, stop justifying yourself

Nonetheless, Meghan Markle strives to remain dignified and to ignore unpleasant comments and harsh criticism. On the Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast, she recently stated: "We spend a good part of our lives trying to prove something. Prove that we're pretty enough, smart enough, that we're a good wife or a good friend. And I've had enough of having to prove myself. Because I know I'm a good friend. I know what kind of mother and what kind of human I am. And I love being that person with the people I love."
