Jannik Sinner claimed his first Wimbledon title on Sunday, defeating rival Carlos Alcaraz in four sets.

The world No. 1 dropped the opening set 4–6 but bounced back to win the next three, each by a score of 6–4.

With this victory, the Italian avenged his recent loss to the Spanish star at last month’s French Open.

It marks Sinner’s first triumph on the grass courts of London, adding to his growing Grand Slam collection, which already includes two Australian Open titles and one US Open title.

The 23-year-old was presented the trophy by Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

Emotionally, I had a very tough loss in Paris. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how you win or lose, especially in big tournaments. You have to understand why you lost and keep working. That’s one of the reasons I’m holding this trophy now. I’m grateful to be healthy, and winning here means a lot,” Sinner said.
