"Large majority of cardinals are homosexual" (church lawyer Rik Torfs)

As a respected and experienced church lawyer, Belgian Rik Torfs is critical of the Catholic Church's stance towards the LGBTQ+ community. As an expert and insider, he also possesses a wealth of information not known to the general public.

Torfs identifies a double standard when it comes to homosexuality within the Catholic Church. "It remains a double situation: on one hand, homosexual relationships are labelled as sinful, but on the other hand, a significant percentage - possibly the majority - of cardinals themselves are homosexual", said Torfs in De Afspraak on Belgian tv channel VRT CANVAS, following the death of Pope Francis.

According to church lawyer Rik Torfs, there exists a "homosexual culture in the Vatican but strangely enough, homosexual relationships are not recognised."
