A tragedy occurred on Saturday evening at a street festival in the Canadian city of Vancouver.
Thirty-year-old Kai-Ji Adam Lo deliberately drove his black SUV into the crowd present at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival. The event was aimed at the Filipino community. He drove into people gathered around the food trucks. Eleven people, aged between 5 and 65, were killed.
The perpetrator was immediately arrested and was charged in court with eight counts of murder on Sunday. He had been dealing with mental health issues for some time, according to the Canadian press.
