Victor Lindelöf had to hastily leave a Manchester United match last week as his son had a serious accident at home.

Three-year-old Francis had fallen down a glass staircase at home, splitting his entire forehead open. He was chasing after his big brother Ted Louie and collided with the glass stairs.

"His forehead was in two parts," said mother Maja, sparing no gruesome details. "He stayed in the hospital both Thursday and Friday. He had to undergo plastic surgery to reconstruct his forehead and was put under anaesthesia for the procedure," Lindelöf's wife Maja told Swedish outlet Expressen.

The little boy will be reminded of this horrific fall for the rest of his life. "The doctors say he will have a large scar on his forehead. But that's okay; I'm just glad it turned out well," said Maja.
