Mandatory drug testing for Musk?

The Democrats in the United States House of Representatives are set to introduce a bill mandating the head of DOGE, Elon Musk and his team, to undergo drug testing.

According to representative Mikie Sherrill, who referenced a report from the Wall Street Journal in 2024, Elon Musk is alleged to have used illegal drugs in the past, including LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms, and ketamine.

Under the bill proposed by Sherrill, certain federal officials would be required to undergo drug testing before starting work and to participate in a random testing programme. Individuals testing positive would be barred from federal service for at least one year.

"Individuals with access to sensitive information must be thoroughly vetted, clear-eyed, and sound in their judgement," the representative stated.
