We won't question their composition (ultra-clean) but rather their effectiveness. Do natural deodorants, without silicones, parabens, colorants, aluminum salts, etc., make you smell bad more quickly than traditional deodorants?
Organic deodorants do not contain any ingredients that pose a health risk, including aluminum salts, which tighten pores and therefore reduce perspiration. Without these components, natural deodorants perfume the underarms and eliminate bacteria, but they do not have an antiperspirant effect, reports RTBF.
Skin breathes, odors disappear
To combat unpleasant odors, most organic deodorants contain essential oils such as lemongrass or savory. And since pores are no longer clogged by aluminum salts, it has been observed that underarm skin regulates perspiration much better. The result? Less odor.
However, the effect of natural deodorants will not be optimal if you, just like 1 to 3% of the world's population, suffer from excessive sweating.
