Yoga, though often seen by many as merely a fitness trend or passing fashion, is in reality a powerful tool for caring for our minds

Indeed, the graceful postures, gentle stretches, and deep breathing are not just a way to relax the body or increase flexibility. They're the gateway to a much deeper transformation: that of the brain.

The benefits of yoga for the body are well known. It's a physical exercise that improves posture, strengthens muscles, boosts cardiovascular health, and reduces chronic pain. However, its effects on the mind and brain are less widely recognised.

Scientific studies have shown that regular practice increases neuroplasticity—that is, the brain's ability to reorganise itself and create new neural connections.

Most interestingly, these benefits can be observed even after just a few weeks of practice and in people of all ages. Results show improvements in cognitive functions such as attention, working memory, and processing speed. The brain, like the rest of the body, responds to consistent training.
