Norway acquires a new 400-kilogram cruise missile.

This new missile has a range of over 500km, stealth capability, and infrared image guidance.

It can engage land and naval targets with great precision, even in environments with air defences.

Norway is the first country to deploy it operationally on its F-35A, thereby strengthening its deterrence capability. Countries like Japan, Australia, and Germany have also acquired it to modernise their armed forces.

Norwegian Brigadier General Jarle Nergård, director of air warfare capabilities at the logistics command, states: "Previously, this capability was only available to major powers. Now that we have the F-35 and this missile, the enemy must know that Norway is capable of attacking targets such as warships, radars, and command posts at long range without the assistance of our allies."
