Diplomatic tensions between Russia and the European Union have intensified once again following the adoption of a new package of sanctions by Brussels.
In response, the political commentator and presenter Vladimir Soloviev, known for his pro-Kremlin stance, issued a direct threat on Russian public television, suggesting the possibility of attacks on government buildings in Paris and Berlin.
"They say it has nothing to do with Istanbul? Then let's strike where the decisions are really made," declared Vladimir Soloviev on Russia 1, referring to the recent diplomatic meeting held in Turkey.
Soloviev mentioned the Elysee Palace in France and the Federal Chancellery in Germany. According to him, these two buildings could be potential targets for retaliation in response to what he termed "European economic aggression".
"The Elysee Palace has no strategic value, we can do without it. As for the Chancellery, we could strike it simply because we've done it before," he declared with his usual provocative tone.
