Strawberries, cherries or raspberries will soon brighten up market stands. Revelation: they're excellent for health.
Each season has its fruits and vegetables! Spring, which returned a few days ago, seduces us with the promise of milder temperatures but also with its fruits that already smell of summer.
Here comes the strawberry season! A red fruit appreciated by both young and the old, strawberries can be enjoyed in a thousand ways: cake, tart, jam… Or simply cut and lightly sweetened. Good news, the strawberry is rich in vitamin C, making it a true health ally. An excellent antioxidant, this vitamin also helps strengthen our immune system. And, to top it all off, they facilitate digestion thanks to the fibre they contain.
Cherries are also packed with vitamins, including vitamin A, which protects the skin and eyes. If you want to enjoy even more of its benefits, don't throw away your cherry stems: as an infusion, they aid the proper functioning of the kidneys by detoxifying the body. The fruit also helps with better sleep, thanks to the presence of melatonin, and they're an effective ally for recovery after sports, for example with a good sour cherry juice.
The raspberry, despite its small size, is one of the fruits with the most nutrients. Low in calories, it is rich in minerals, magnesium, calcium, and iron! Thanks to its numerous fibre, it also aids effective transit and combats ageing with the help of its many antioxidants, which also contribute to maintaining good mental health.
Colourful, rich in vitamins, good for morale and the body: these red fruits are your best allies for a spring in great shape. Think about it the next time you go to the market!
