Russia and Ukraine have launched airstrikes damaging infrastructure in both countries, despite Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy agreeing to halt attacks on each other’s energy facilities.
The Ukrainian president reported that a hospital was targeted by Russian strikes, while officials in Krasnodar Oblast said a Ukrainian drone had caused a fire at an oil depot.
Just hours after Putin agreed to stop attacks on energy infrastructure, Zelenskyy said that civilian facilities in the Sumy region were hit.
He also claimed that Russia launched 40 drones at Ukraine mere hours after Donald Trump and Putin had their phone call on Tuesday.
"It is these types of night-time attacks by Russia that destroy our energy sector, our infrastructure, and the normal life of Ukrainians. Today, Putin effectively rejected the proposal for a full ceasefire", the Ukrainian leader said.
