"Russia has become a pariah state"

On X, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham warned Russian citizens about the disastrous consequences of Vladimir Putin's aggressive policy, who refuses to end the war against Ukraine.

"I appreciate everything President Donald Trump has done to try to end this terrible war. But to end a war, you need willing partners. So far, Putin is not willing to do so," the senator's message reads.

Graham, speaking about Putin, urged people not to forget that "this is the man who helped the Assad regime drop bombs from helicopters on innocent civilians and deliberately target hospitals in Syria."

Mr Graham also warned Russian citizens about the disastrous consequences of the Kremlin's actions for their country, including the victims of the war of aggression, economic decline and international isolation.

In summary, Mr Graham states that "this does not make Russia a great country. It makes it a pariah state."
