The US Special Envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated on Tuesday that a new round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine would likely take place in Geneva, Switzerland
Kellogg said that Washington had received a proposed set of peace terms from Kiev and was waiting for Moscow to submit its own.
"There will be another meeting, and we think it will probably be held in Geneva, even though we would have liked it to take place at the Vatican. We were absolutely willing to do something like that, but the Russians did not want to go there, to the Vatican. So I think Geneva could be the next step," Mr. Kellogg said in an interview with Fox News.
Russia and Ukraine held their first direct talks in three years in Istanbul on 16 May, and agreed on a prisoner exchange.
