A few weeks ago, Russian espionage devices washed up on British shores; they were used to gather intelligence on British nuclear submarines.

The British army has detected several Russian espionage devices in the seas surrounding the United Kingdom, and it's suspected that the intention was to gather as much information as possible about British nuclear submarines.

According to an investigation by the UK Ministry of Defence, British intelligence services had reliable information on Russian oligarchs’ yachts, which may have been used for covert reconnaissance and spying.

At least eleven internet cables have been damaged in the Baltic Sea by ships dragging cables and anchors along the seabed.

The government has decided to respond. It launched Operation "Nordic Warden", a reactive system that uses artificial intelligence to track the movements of the Russian shadow fleet.

A senior British army officer said in an interview: "There is no doubt: there is a war in the Atlantic."
