The Boerevestnik or "storm bird" can be sent anywhere in the world. As early as 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced its design. Today, it seems that this new nuclear missile has become a reality.
Around the world, the hope that the Boerevestnik would not see the light of day was strong. Yet... Satellite photos, taken around 9 horizontal launch platforms, prove otherwise. These platforms, located in Vologda, are indeed intended to receive the new Russian weapon of war, reports the news agency Reuters.
The Boerevestnik is a cruise missile equipped with a mini nuclear reactor making it impossible for the enemy to defend against it. The "storm bird" is nuclear-powered, which makes it unique; no country in the world possesses this technology. It's great advantage? A much greater range than so-called "classic" cruise missiles. It can therefore be launched anywhere in the world and, thanks to this specificity, remain in hovering flight.
