Cyclone Alfred is causing treacherous situations in Australia. Not only did 300,000 households lose power, but thousands also had to leave their homes, and at least one person died. Additionally, another threatening danger emerged to the surface.

Sharks have already been spotted in the flooded canals! The sea life was driven inland by the floods caused by the heavy rainfall. "Don't go near the water now," warned Instagram user Nicka35 in a video he posted. "It's pretty intense. Bigger than I expected. Not a huge shark, but damn, it would bite your toes off." The video shows two bull sharks swimming through the murky waters of the Tallebudgera Creek in the Australian city of Gold Coast (Queensland).

The cyclone has since significantly weakened, but the emergency is not yet over in Australia.
