Ellen Pompeo, known for her role as Meredith Grey in the famous American series Grey’s Anatomy, reflected on the incredible gesture made by Taylor Swift in support of hospitalised children.

In 2014, while she was volunteering at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Pompeo asked a favour from Taylor Swift, who had just invited her to join the group of women appearing in her video “Bad Blood”.

Invited to the Jennifer Hudson Show on 2 April, the actress spoke about the event and her remarkable mission at the Children’s Hospital. "They have a fantastic programme at the Children's Hospital: they create music for babies in neonatal intensive care as well as for parents who have to work all day and cannot be with their children." And she added: "They sing lullabies or tell stories and record their voices to play for the babies during the day, when their parents cannot be there […] So, I gathered my courage and asked Taylor: 'Can you write me a cheque for the Children’s Hospital?'" Which the singer immediately agreed to… The two celebrities had known each other for only "20 minutes".

According to Pompeo, the cheque was huge!
