A fleet of Chinese warships has been dispatched to the Pacific Ocean in response to the US arrival of the Nimitz aircraft carrier and the next-generation multi-mission destroyer Michael Monsoor in the Pacific.

The incursion was reported by the Japanese military, which spotted three Chinese warships crossing waters southwest of the Japanese island on Monday, heading towards the Philippines.

Although the reason for the Chinese fleet's incursion into this area is unclear, tensions in the region have begun to increase. Indeed, it's home to the first island chain, a natural barrier stretching from the Kuril Islands to Singapore via Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

This region is therefore a key area for both the United States and China, which already possesses the world's largest navy with 370 ships and submarines, and has deployed a fleet of three Chinese warships to tour Australia between February and March this year.
