During a heated debate concerning the current geopolitical situation, following the suspension of American aid to Kyiv, Claude Malhuret, the senator from the Allier department (in France), strongly criticised the position of Donald Trump and his right-hand man.
On the 5th of March, the independent representative from Allier, president of the Les Indépendants group, declared that since the return of Donald Trump to the White House, "Washington has become Nero's court". According to him, the United States is led by a president "incendiary, submissive courtiers, and a buffoon on ketamine in charge of the public service purge" clearly referring to the head of Tesla Elon Musk, leading the commission "for budgetary efficiency".
American opponents of Trump's policy, after watching the video of Claude Malhuret's speech, praised the "unfiltered" remarks of the French senator, reports Franceinfo.
A Tragedy for the United States
During his speech, the Allier representative highlighted that the return to power of the Republican billionaire was a "tragedy for the free world, but first, a tragedy for the United States". He particularly denounces the recent rapprochement between Trump and Putin, considering that “the king of the deal” was bowing to the Russian autocrat. Still according to Malhuret, the President of the United States "thinks he will intimidate China by bowing to Putin, but [the Chinese president] Xi Jingpin, witnessing such a shipwreck, is probably accelerating preparations for the invasion of Taiwan". "We are now fighting against a dictator supported by a traitor", he added.
