The foreign affairs committees of the parliaments of Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia have issued a joint statement calling for continued support for Ukraine's victory and its accession to the EU and NATO.
The foreign affairs committees, who met in Lithuania, highlighted in their statement that Ukraine's victory over Russian aggression and Ukraine's accession to NATO would strengthen a just and lasting peace, not only in Ukraine but throughout Europe, and would help uphold the international order based on international rules.
They added that Ukraine's accession to NATO would also provide a more effective and robust foundation for Euro-Atlantic security.
In this statement, the Committees pledge to support Ukraine until its complete victory, including the liberation of all territories temporarily occupied by Russia, bringing Russian leaders to justice for war crimes, and the full implementation of international justice.
The foreign affairs committees also promise to continue diplomatic and political efforts to isolate Russia and its military allies, to expand and strengthen sanctions, and to ensure that the crimes committed against Ukraine are met with full legal and political accountability.
