The Chinese threat is Trump's priority

The Washington Post has just published a secret Pentagon memo urging the US military to prevent China's takeover of Taiwan and to strengthen security.

"China is the only threat the Department maintains, and preventing a Chinese takeover of Taiwan, while defending US territory, is the only scenario the Department maintains," explains Defence Secretary Peter Hegseth in the document.

To achieve this goal, the Pentagon will "take risks in other theatres of operation, pay less attention to terrorist groups in the Middle East and Africa (believing they cannot launch international attacks), and pressure its allies to spend more on defence so they can confront Russia, North Korea, or Iran without American help."
