The partner countries of the drone coalition have decided to allocate 20 million euros from a common fund for the purchase of tactical reconnaissance drones for the Ukrainian defence forces.
"We're grateful to our partners for responding to a critical need. It's important to react quickly and show flexibility in decision-making, especially as the defence forces need it. Thanks to them, the military can carry out area reconnaissance and improve the situational awareness of their units, which is important for the success of combat operations," said the Deputy Minister of Defence in charge of digitalisation, Kateryna Chernogorenko.
As a reminder, the "Drone Coalition" launched its third international call for tenders for multirotor reconnaissance drones in February. Ukrainian developers were able to participate. Applications for the tender are now closed and the first selection phase is underway.
Delivery of the new drones is scheduled for this summer.
