The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed a “decisive” response to any attacks ordered by Donald Trump against Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The U.S. president recently announced that American forces had launched “powerful and decisive military action” to end the ongoing Houthi threat in the Red Sea, while also urging Tehran to stop supporting the Houthis.

IRGC commander Hossein Salami condemned Trump’s threats in a televised address, stating that while Iran does not seek war, it will respond in a proper and decisive manner if threatened.

Salami also emphasized that the Houthis represent Yemen and operate independently, distancing Iran from direct involvement in the group's actions.

Meanwhile, Iran’s top diplomat, Abbas Araghchi, criticized Washington’s interference, declaring that the U.S. has “no right to dictate Iran’s foreign policy” and calling for an end to the “killing of Yemeni people.”
