Trump considers imposing traveling bans and restrictions to 43 countries

The U.S. is considering new travel restrictions for citizens of 43 countries, according to a report by The New York Times.

An initial version of the recommendations was submitted by security officials, featuring a color-coded system to classify countries into red, orange, and yellow categories, officials told the American newspaper.

The red list includes 11 countries whose citizens will not be allowed to enter the U.S., while those from orange and yellow-listed nations will face certain restrictions.

An official told The New York Times that this draft version is subject to change and has not yet been approved by the Trump administration, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Back in January, the U.S. president signed an executive order reinstating travel restrictions to protect Americans from "aliens who intend to commit terrorist attacks, threaten our national security, espouse hateful ideology, or otherwise exploit the immigration laws for malevolent purposes."
