The United Kingdom is planning to strengthen its defence with a new fleet of submarines and nuclear programmes.
The government led by Keir Starmer is expected to announce an investment of £15 billion (€17.789 billion) in the defence industry and cybersecurity.
Britain is thus preparing an important message for Moscow as part of its new defence strategy. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has unveiled plans to expand the attack submarine fleet and modernise nuclear weapons in response to threats from Russia.
The government will announce an investment for the development of new warheads and the construction of 12 new submarines as part of a partnership with the United States and Australia.
The UK Defence Secretary, John Healey, emphasised that this strategic defence review is a "clear message to Moscow" regarding the United Kingdom's determination to resist Russian aggression.
