To achieve peace in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin is demanding an end to NATO expansion and the lifting of Western sanctions against Russia.
While peace talks remain stalled following a phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, several sources close to the Russian leader have revealed the Kremlin’s terms for ending the war, which has now lasted over three years.
“Putin is ready to make peace, but not at any price,” said a senior Russian source familiar with Kremlin thinking.
According to three sources, Putin wants a written and signed commitment from all NATO member states pledging not to seek the inclusion of Moldova, Georgia, or Ukraine in the alliance.
Russia is also demanding that Ukraine adopt a neutral status and that certain Western sanctions be lifted.
One source warned that if these conditions are not met, the Kremlin will continue the conflict without hesitation.
