Tragedy in Ibiza: Two British tourists die after falling from balcony

A hotel in San Antonio on the Spanish party island of Ibiza will no longer host parties for an indefinite period after two young people lost their lives there within just two weeks.

In both cases, the victims were young tourists from Scotland who fell from a balcony at night. They fell down, presumably under the influence of alcohol, and did not survive the fall.

The 26-year-old Evan from Aberdeen and the 19-year-old Gary from Dundee did not know each other, and both incidents are believed to have been accidents.

The hotel announced that it has decided to temporarily pause all party activities out of respect for those involved.
